Terra Nova: Strike Force Centauri

TerraNova spoiled me in the 90s for what tactical games should be and this still holds up for me.

its very dated, its very hard. but its absolutely phenomenal. a game I had a demo of from PC format many years ago, took me a long time to find the full game, It did not disappoint. love this game.

I didn't have the joy of experiencing Terra Nova back in 1996 but, I wish I had. This game was a joy to play. As a MechWarrior/BattleTech fan I was in love with this game's mechanics. Whether it's the squad commands, primary and secondary weapons, different suits, or ASF systems I really got a kick out of this game's charm. I've never play LGS' other games so I went into this game as an unbiased player and I'm glad I did. If you are a fan of the old MechWarrior games or the Tribes games pick this one up. It's dirt cheap and worth the time. There are a few caveats though. The story is super campy 90's vibes, don't expect a cerebral narrative with well contructed twists and turns. Also the controls take some getting used to. However, if you can look past that and enjoy the ride then you'll love this hidden gem.

Terra Nova is a good nostalgia trip. Missions are clearly explained, short and not too difficult. It's cool to have to give an order from time to time to your partners and there's a nice sense of relief when your objectives are completed and you run to the pick up point. tips: - The robot can look up and down and it's quite useful when enemies attack from above or below. - The visibility can be increased by clicking on the top left of the screen. - If the game crash on start-up, maybe you're using the french version and doesn't work. Install the English one. (It worked for me).

Ich spielte es an einem 468 DX 100 als Jugendlicher und war erstaunt ùber die 3D Grafik & offene Welt. Leider gibt es hier kein deutschen Text, sonst hätte ich es gleich gekauft.
