I´m a huge C&C and Starcraft fan, and Submarine Titans is one of the few games that I considered (at the time) gets close to it in terms of fun and playability. I discovered it just by chance, as it didn't have any major advertising or promotion behind it. The setting is underwater, and as other reviewers have mentioned, this allows you to have multiple depths levels in the same isometric cell - this is crucial for battles and for some units. Submarines will dodge torpedos by rising and sinking, but only if they have vertical room to do so, so this requires some extra thinking when planning attacks (i.e.: make sure you strike from an area where you have vertical maneuverability) There are three factions in the game, each of them with their unique and quite varied tech tree and units, yet the game is very balanced overall. I didn't find the campaign mode particularly difficult if you've played any of the other major RTS. There are lots of missons in each of the three sides, so the campaign is long, but none of the missions themselves were particularly hard. I had to retry a few of them twice, and that's about it. The storyline is interesting but predictable and overall I felt it was just an excuse for the game rather than having the goal of creating a complete universe and lore in which to develop further games. Not that I cared too much - Submarine Titans was quite fun anyway. Graphics and animations were quite good for its age, and I believe you will still find the game enjoyable today. Overal, a little underappreciated gem of a RTS, and a pity that they didn't produce any Submarine Titans 2 (that I know of)
