Did not age too well
KOTOR for sure was a milestone when first released. But nowadays there are not to many reasons to play it. The narrative is still good. Not outstanding but good. And of course there are the Star Wars music and sound effects. Gameplay wise it lacks the tactical depth and rich character development options of Biowares older D&D adaptions but also the top-notch voice acting and story presentation of Mass Effect and other modern RPGs. The first world (8-12h of playtime) is especially tedious. It gets better once you gain access to Jedi powers and a space ship but never reaches the point where it's fun to play just for its mechanics. Oh and the game tends to crash now and then, particularly during video sequences. Always save before leaving a planet!
