if you're a Star Trek fan...
And about 3/5 if you're not. A good deal of the gameplay looks like this: you enter an empty room, a swarm of enemies starts beaming in, groups at a time, you kill them all until they stop spawning and move on to the next empty room, rinse and repeat. Some levels have more evenly paced encounters, and one gives you a neat stealth option where you can avoid most of the enemies entirely, but the 'enemy spam' mechanic was used too often for my liking. The weapon selection is decent, but some of them functionally overlap, like the tetryon disruptor and the dreadnought weapon, which are both fast-firing weapons that use the same pool of dilithium crystals as ammunition, or the grenade and mini photon torpedo launcher which are both explosive weapons that use your standard weapon energy. Still, the shooting was quite satisfying overall, with the aforementioned disruptor being my personal favourite. A definite highlight of the game are the story scenes which feature all of the main actors from Voyager. The new actors who voice Munro (your character) and his/her team do a good job as well, and the interactions between teammates are fun to watch and often amusing, especially when crewman Chell is involved. This along with some recognisable locales for you to explore, such as the Voyager, a Borg cube, Klingon Bird-of-prey and a very cool surprise I won't spoil, make it worth playing if you're a fan of the series, but if you're not then it'll likely be little more than a pretty average 2000s shooter for you.
Hilft dir das weiter?
