Sometimes, the only way to restore peace is to wage war.
The alliance between the Klingons and the United Federation of Planets has never been stronger. Together, they begin construction of a starbase with the ability to detect cloaked ships in the neutral zone. The only things standing in their way: the Romulans. Play three sides of an epic conflict for control of the galaxy. Although the challenges are many, the goal is one - command your starship to victory for your empire.

Unable to Launch
Like other reviews here so far, I've had the same issue with the game not launching. No window appears but the game sounds and introduction plays in the background (you can hear Picard narrating the opening sequence), until it errors out saying there isn't a Direct3D compatible device. While there isn't a support page dedicated to the game, I was able to submit a support ticket along with the requested DirectX information that the company asked for. Hopefully they can figure it out somewhat quickly as this was a favorite game to play back in the day.

can't load the game
Installation went fine, but when I go to launch the game I get the Activision splash intro, then the game minimizes and stops responding. Each time, my cursor disappears and I have to restart my machine. I really hope that they get a fix for this because I would really love to play this game again.

Totally awful! The Worst Star Trek Game
No wonder this game killed Star Trek games for 20 years, its the worst 'game' I've ever experienced. Unclear, cluttered, confusing, you won't be having any fun with this pile of garbage even if you get it to work. Doing literally anything in the game is awkward and time consuming, trying to arm weapons, turn the ship, and actually hit anything is boring and an exercise in frustration. I tried for half an hour to defeat a single ship and all we both did was amble around in a circle slowly draining our shields, but as the AI's ship shields recharged faster than I could damage them, it was basically impossible to do anything. My favourite Star Trek game is Bridge Commander, which I implore you to go and purchase/play instead of this pile of crap. With some mods its the best star trek experience you can get, leave this to rot, wish I could get my £8 back I'd have rather given it to something that mattered that supporting this nonsense. Awful awful awful!!!
