One of the best games that I played.
I wish that I have taken the game out of my backlog way sooner. From the first mission to the last one I was immersed into the world of the game to a level that even newer games lack. For a 13 year old game it feels like the graphics did not age at all. The details and npcs interactions are hilarious. Everyone should experience the game imo. It is an old classic that holds up beautifully.

A Harvey Wallbanger of a game
Alright, so I didn’t know what the hell to do tonight. Witcher’s on standby, Cyberpunk 2077 mods nearly crashed my whole setup, OBS threw a tantrum... you know the drill. Then I thought, sod it – let’s have a little Harvey Wallbanger (vodka, OJ, Galliano – don’t knock it till you try it). Mood improved instantly. Went browsing GOG for something easy, nostalgic, with a bit of punch but not too heavy. Boom – Sleeping Dogs. What a bloody gem. Blast from the past, smooth like my cocktail, story's just the right mix of grit and cinematic flair. Feels like playing a John Woo flick with a hint of GTA, but in Hong Kong and with way more style. Combat? Crunchy and satisfying. Driving? Chaotic fun. And the story? Surprisingly engaging. Look, maybe you’re stuck between a movie, a game, or just scrolling aimlessly – this’ll sort you out. No regrets, just vibes. Highly recommended if you want to lose yourself in a city that actually feels alive. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got some Triads to deal with... or cops.

A very good game, which still holds up.
This may seem werid but this game scratched the itch that I was exoecting to get from Cyberpunk 2077. Obviously it is the aesthetic that makes me feel this way but there is something about the level of interactivity in the world also. The game still holds up, the graphics are totally okay, it runs on my 7 year old ultrabook no problem. The story is fine so far (haven't finished it yet). From the negatives I could say that the driving mechanics are very janky. And I wish the envirnoment was more detailed, as in the "scripted" chase scenes (this is just nitpicking though). All and all, I cannot believe I am playing this game only now. For the sale price of 2.99 euros it is extremely worth it.

Solid game
The game plays like GTA but with less guns and more melee combat, id say its fulfiling overall with many things to do but without being bloated, which I respect. The story is realistic and good BUT! Reason im taking 1 star away is cause towards the end it feels like my 12 years old cousin took the reigns. Aside from that, I had no complains and I suggest this game to everyone who enjoys third person action games with a serious story tone.
