SimCity™ 2000 Special Edition

Old game but works great on modern systems.

This is always a great game to play for non-Battle Royale types!

As others have stated, this is the inferior DOS version, not the Windows version. I recommend you keep your money. I love GOG, but when they say "This is the best version of this game you can buy on any PC platform." you assumed that it is, in fact, the BEST version of the game. Bit dishonest I reckon.

Reason I bought the game. I know the game is awesome, in both normal play and URK, but frankly, I bought the game to use the URK. Please update and get it working.

All my experiences of SimCity 2000 SE were on the Mac and until I installed the Windows version I didn't realise how spoiled I was with this game. The Mac release made huge improvements in small ways. None of the drop down menus needed to be held down. The music was improved. The camera was stretched, instead it just showed you more of the map on bigger screens. So you can imagine my disappointment when I run the DOS version on Windows 8 to find everything stretched out, the menus aren't as responsive and the music a little sad. Great game, but for those buying this on Windows, I'd recommend keeping this game in your nostalgia file, because trust me when I say it's better that way.
