Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri™ Planetary Pack

Same comment as the previous one. It's a great game, but if I can't play it, there is little point buying it...

Well, I have been advised to review in-game experience only. I would have done that but after the Installation procedure no game appears in the application directory of my Mac. Even worse: there is no way to see to which directory all the files have gone which have been copied to my HD. I have already searched the STANDARD (!!!) locations for such packages without success. Instead of playing Alpha Centauri I will now spend some time to remove this fine piece of software from my computer. All in all I advise the developers of the Mac distribution to quit their jobs and instead apply for one in the wood processing industry. In the case I missed something and this is actually an extension pack only it would have been good to state that in the description. Something like "Note: You need XYZ to play the game." would have done the trick. Might be a excellent game but I will never find out....

I really love to buy this from gog since I lost my disc long time ago, however, I'm not going to buy it without crossfire.

I almost didn't buy this one, and i probably shouldn't have. It IS facinating. But it is also more complex that I really like. If you are like me and you enjoyed Civ II but not Civ III... skip this one. The subtilties of inter-societal interactions are just too unpredictable for me. I'll go back and try it again... some day... maybe. I can prbabaly figure it out. (I did Civ III, even though i didn't really enjoy it.) If you want a real challenge, buy it. If you want a game that you can win every time... don't.

Just bought this game and it is unplayable. The menu screen is unreadable and in black and white.
