Fun but very repetitive

Inferior to 2013 reboot in almost every way + combat is really fun, even better than original in some ways + great soundtrack + visually solid, nothing special - incredibibly repetitive. Levels are big and random generated but basically you will play same 3 levels over and over again - too much loot. Navigating menus and trying to upgrade your weapons and getting lost in too much loot is annoying and detracts from solid gameplay - story is completely forgetable - immature jokes are funny at worst, get old really fast - character animations are very stiff and weird - ocassional bugs and crashes and sometimes getting coop to work properly is very annoying Overall 6/10 mediocre but fun for a while. Get it on deep sale

Wang of all wangs!

After spending about 200 hours playing Shadow Warrior 2, I'm very satisfied. I note here that I have not played the first part of the game before (maybe even better). I really liked the combat system, which is a great sensation and really deserves to be distinguished. Another important advantage of the game is (in my opinion) an interesting plot and of course the character of the main character. I highly recommend this game to everyone and I am very proud of my compatriots because they have created a beautiful game in many respects.

Masterpiece

This is like the new Doom, fast, brutal, fun! But it offers so much more: Beautiful colourful levels, procedurally generated, about 70 weapons, fully customizable, many interesting skills (also upgradable), and huge replay value. The more difficult you set the game, the better the rewards. On easy you can find everything, but on super hard (or if you want it even harder) you find the same stuff but better (higher levels gear). Your character, your money, your skills, your weapons, everything is saved so when you start new you can use everything you've earned in the game for a new playthrough (there is also an option to really start new, but who would want that). That is nice for newbies, they can up the challenge to a higher difficulty setting without getting frustrated too quickly. And for veterans, there is still enough challenge on the highest difficulties. So this game is a perfect example how to translate old school shooters with modern mechanics. Doom was great, but this is so much better!

Genuinely surprised!

I bought the first shadow warrior in a sale ages ago and never got around to it. This one I got for free at some point and never really thought about it. Recently I got bored and played the first (no, not the first first, the 3d one). Lo (wang) and behold, I found one of the best fps games I've played in a long time. Also noticed where Doom 2016 got a few Ideas from. So of course after that I went straight into this one. My god it looks great, sounds great, plays great. It's got a lot of rpg mechanics overlayed on top of it which I'm not sure about, but the shooting still feels amazing so it's fine. It's probably a better borderlands than borderlands. Can't say much about multiplayer since nobody seems to play it anymore, but single player works just fine. This was exactly the type of game I wanted right now, can't recommend it enough.

Awesome successor to the first game

Pros: +Lo Wang the one and only! +Great story, with some really good boss battles +Hugh variety of weapons +Very detailed greaphics +Nicely designed locations +So many enemy types +Game runs smoothly +Dubbing +CO-OP Cons: -Side mission can be repetative -The upgrade system can be tedios -All melee weapons feel kind of the same -Long Loading time (around 2 minutes) bottom line: 4.3\5 Great FPS - Buy when half-priced
