I'm enjoying it for what it is.

This is a mind bending piece of art and a sci fi book in the form of a video game. I feel the main point is to enjoy the emotional reaction of suspending disbelief as if one was there. Whatever the artists were aiming at, I think they achieved their goals, or cloose to them, in this way it's a triumph. I see some people disappointed by their expectations of this or that, but I think it's best to check those at the door. Many expected things just aren't there. I can't jump. I can't tell if I have a weapon or a tool. Did I just die? Why is the screen blank for so long? Now where am I? This is so messed up. Is that thing friendly or not? Is it supposed to be that way? I'm enjoying this as a scifi mystery, imagining what might have happened while playing the game. There's very little here to pop me out of this state of suspended disbelief. I imagine this would be a bit much with a VR setup and a room one can walk in. It feels like it was made for VR.

Incredible, but much too short

It took me 7:30h to get through it and I stood around and watched the environment a lot! But it was quality time. Especially the last level was so magnificient that I didn't want to continue playing, I just stood in awe to try to wrap my head around everything I could see. Gameplaywise it is a mix between Myst and Resident Evil 7/8 and there is definitely room for improvement combat-wise. But in the end this game is much more than the sum of its parts. I probably will give it another run, because I'm sure I missed a lot of details, especially in the scarier areas. Please don't watch a let's play like I feel it's common in this generation, experience it for yourself. While it has its shortcomings, it is one of the most amazing games I've played in a long time. It puts a lot of so called "fantasy" games to shame. The sheer crazyness of the stuff you'll see is just beyond comprehension. I'm still in shock. PS: Played it on day one and I didn't see a single bug or glitch, ran absolutely stable. My proudest pre-order.

The game is Gory eye candy

The game for the most part, has delivered what it had set out to so a artistically gory themed walking simulator, with solvable puzzle and a pinch of combat. Was it something I expected to be longer? Was there any chance of a world and civilisation uncovered? being explored Not with the current gamplay. At best the art book would shed some insight as there is not logs you can collect. The game is not long, and the achievement art too hard if you are into completing a game. Overall a enjoyable experience in my book. Would reccomend if it gets to a a discount in the future.
