RollerCoaster Tycoon® Deluxe

If you haven't gotten RollerCoaster Tycoon (RCT) 2 yet, then stop reading this and get that first. OK, you got it. Let's continue. RCT2 is a more complete version of this game, with more and better scenarios, more and better rides, and just an overall improvement that going back to RCT isn't even a fair comparison. With that said, this is still a game worth getting, and not just for the scenarios to import into OpenRCT. All the base fundamentals of RCT can be found here. From how you build your ride, to layout the park. While the tools are not as refined, it's still better than any other game I've played. I've also really love the scenarios here, as I found it easier to get started. Overall fantastic game, but you really need to get RCT2 first.

A fine classic, many features, much enjoyment & superb gameplay even though graphics are sooo old!

I love this game. I like it better than any of the RCTs that game afterwards. It's the best by far imho. I am only saddened by the fact that GOG doesn't have it for mac.

This was one of the first games I ever played on PC that originally got me into sims in general, at the time I was also playing SimCity 2000. RTC and RTC 2, personally are some of the timeless classic games that I would pass on to my children, for endless hours of entertainment, strategy and challenge. All of those things the RTC franchise does exceptionally well, better than some of the other tycoon games on the market. Nothing ever comes close to taking this game head-on...It would just loose. Also this game is a must have for any PC gamer, even though there are high tech games out, it's nice to take a step back and see what gaming is really about, and this game has helped show me that and should you too.
