Too much micromanagement
I love coasters and I loved the original RCT so a new RCT where you could sit down and enjoy your rides from a 1st person perspective sounded fantastic. Sadly I think they went too far with the no-coaster-building related stuff. In RCT 1 when you told a handyman to do something he just did it but in RCT3 you can give your orders and then start building your dream coaster only to find paths covered in sick because your handymen suddenly got depressed over their working condition or rampant vandalism because your guards just decided not to bother. There's a point where micromanagement stops being fun and becomes just an annoyance, and this game passes that point which is why I usually find myself going back to RCT 1 instead. Also the camera is really dim-witted at times and the interface is generally clunky but apart from that RCT 3 is still a good game.

good game
this is a great game but,its not laptop friendly(scroll to zoom in/out),you cant kill the park guests (; they just fall. but good thing about the game are,sandbox mode, you can ride the rides,pools and many new rides. over all for ten dollars cheaper i would get rct 2

Great Game, not so great OS support
Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 is an excellent game in almost every way, the gameplay holds up well, the humor holds up well, even the graphics hold up well. But you see my review isn't necessarily about the game, its about the fact that GOG only has it for Windows. Typically i'm just fine with them forgetting about other OS's , but this game is a classic that needs to be available on all platforms, not just Windows.

Get 'em while they're hot.
Get 'em while they're hot. Buy it while the sale is on, it's worth it with the 60% discount, not so much if you have to pay the full price. Have just started playing it, so cannot say for sure, but my current recommendation is buy it now. Cheers, pjm
