Roller Coaster Tycoon® 2: Triple Thrill Pack

Unfortunatley my game crashes as soon as I try to build a rollercoaster, or if I spend too long on the game. I beleive it's as I'm running the game on windows 10. Very disheartened as it was my favourite game growing up!

Whenever I try to save a game everything freezes. I tried running the game as administrator like I was told, but nothing's change.

I've been waiting for this game to be on GoG for a while, and finally... finally.... I spent way too much time as an 11 year old playing this game. You can seriously create any theme park and any roller coaster you want. Defy the laws of physics, create rides that end abruptly, killing everyone inside; or take the game seriously and scroll back to watch your perfectly oiled machine take care of itself. The amount of depth involved in the gameplay is outstanding, but it never overwhelms you. Again, I was 11 years old when I first dedicated weeks of my life to this game. The art style is very colourful, scenarios within the game can be extremely hilarious (I loved making rides that made everyone puke when they got off), and there's fun to be had for as long as you want because the game never ends. You just create until you can't create no more. And for all that and more, it deserves the title of Good Old Game. Give it a shot!

It's kind of a small software update that adds a scenario editor and expansion pack with some more rides that does not justify a new release. As the price difference here on GOG is not so big it's not that much of a rip-off nowadays, but don't buy 1 & 2 together as they are mostly identical. I did not like the new scenarios too much. There is more crappy looking decorations. The engine is quite limited here in adding houses and you see that Chris Sawyer had maybe one designer so the props are repeated too often. In fact I immediately downloaded http://www.ginever.net/files/file/4-rollercoaster-tycoon-2-community-content-pack/ which has the RCT 1 scenarios converted to RCT 2 which look a lot more decent. Still it's the addicting and fun Rollercoaster Tycoon gameplay. The isometric perspective is great for building a rollercoaster because the current squares are highlighted and you always know where you are. I also like the intuitive construction interface that some game magazines complained about. A true classic.

This game IS the foundation of my childhood! Every day that I came home from school, this is literally what I played on my Windows 2000 computer. Once it came out, and when I got this game for my birthday, it was great! I loved making rides where they would crash together, that was awesome! When I was around 16, circa 2007, I took the game seriously, and I started making the ultimate park. 5 years have passed, and it isn't even halfway done! This game has TONS of depth to it, it was on par with The Sims, another PC game. That is saying something. Atari, I love you! This is my favorite game for sure! I love that some of the entertainers that scare and terrorize the children, I'm so evil. >:D Seriously, it's worth 10, 20, 50, 100, even 1000€ (A LOT!)
