Nach RoboCops entscheidendem Sieg über Detroits Gangs beginnt indieser eigenständigen Erweiterung nach den Ereignissen von RoboCop: Rogue City ein neues Kapitel.
Der „New Guy in Town“ wurde besiegt, aber auf den Straßen regiert weiterhin das Verbrechen. Ein Hoffnungsschimmer kommt von OCPs neuestem Projekt: OmniTower – ein riesiger Wohnkomplex, der für das Wohlergehen der Bewohner von Old Detroit gebaut wurde. Doch als eine Gruppe hochtrainierter, mit Hightech-Waffen ausgestatteter Söldner die Kontrolle über das Gebäude übernimmt und es in ihre tödliche Festung verwandelt, muss RoboCop einschreiten und ihre Pläne zur Zerstörung von Recht und Ordnung vereiteln.
Mach dich bereit, einer neuen Generation von Feinden gegenüberzutreten: OmniTower ist vollgepackt mit High-Tech-Bedrohungen. Von fliegenden Drohnen bis hin zu explodierenden Robotern und Anti-Personen-Geschütztürmen ist jedes Stockwerk mit tödlichen Fallen gespickt. Elitesoldaten sind schwer bewaffnet. Just play the first one.
The base game is far superior and the only new stuff here is the ed 209 section. Love this studio but this is a disappointing follow up to their last game. If you are thinking about buying this. Don't unless you can get it for like 10 bucks.

A more focused approach
Positives: + you are RoboCop, you just can't beat that power fantasy if you grew up watching the movies + the Auto-9 after upgrades almost makes you feel bad for the bad guys... almost, by the end you are walking death and destruction + if you didn't like hunting around for that last parking ticket to issue in Rouge City there is definitely none of that here + the brutalist, sci-fi mega-tower is a cool concept, and there are some nice looking locations in the levels + the future dystopian satire is still there + you get to play as ED-209 for a while Negatives: - level design. You are in a tower, or at least, the game tells you you are, you can't really tell since for the most part there are no windows. What floor you are on? Who knows. Is the current level above or below the one you just completed? Again, can't really tell. Here' are some apartments, here's a mall, here's a cinema, here are some labs (?) and have some corporate lobbys for good measure - they don't feel connected to eachother. - story is nothing to write home about. Bad guy steals robocops chair (??) to build some kind of thing which I never really got what he plans to DO with exactly? It all really boils down to this: - if you enjoyed Rouge City - you will find fun here - if you found it kind of 'meh' - this will propably not change your mind - if you haven't played Rouge City - go play that instead

Fun but unstable
Of you liked Rogue City, you'll like this. If regular crashes on Rogue City drove you nuts? This one is just as bad. Expect a crash every 2 hours of gameplay or so.

More of the same ... and that's awesome
First things first ... overall the main game was a better experience for me, as the story was more elaborated, but I had a lot of fun with this game too The setting this time is one big tower, no outside areals. One good aspect is that you don't notice the small budget that easily. Not having too much freedom tightens the action, you follow your path no matter what, the progression is completely linear, except in a few civilian areas. Exploring is good for the much wanted XP for abilities. I recommend filling up the bottom bar of your abilities first, as it gives you a nice 30% boost in the end. The auto saves are still a weak point. You might lose quite some progress when you turn off the game. Check the load page to see when the last one was created. The game is not bug free. In an earlier version at some point I was not able to pick up new weapons. Two random bugs in the current version are critical: a) in two cases, an enemy was "inactive", could not be attacked or killed b) a door was unlocked as a I progressed, but instead of walking through it, I went back to grab a healthpack first. When I returned, it was locked again and could not be opened. In both cases I had to restart from the checkpoint.

Robocop at it's best!
I’ll be honest, I had my doubts about RoboCop: Unfinished Business. A game stuck inside one giant building? Sounded like it might fall short. But damn, this game shut me up fast—it’s a brilliant tribute to the original RoboCop that nails every single detail. The soundtrack is pure gold, channeling that ‘80s synth energy with pulsing action tracks and creepy, atmospheric tones. It feels ripped straight from the original movie, setting the perfect vibe for every intense firefight or quiet, tense moment. The single-building setting could’ve been a drawback, but it’s a masterpiece. From cold, corporate boardrooms to grimy maintenance shafts and high-tech security posts, every corner drips with retro-futuristic, capitalist-hell vibes. Details like propaganda posters and flickering terminals make the world feel alive and oppressive, staying 100% true to the original’s sharp, satirical edge. You start as a clunky, cyborg, but as you upgrade, you become an unstoppable killing machine. Unlocking enhanced targeting, brutal melee moves, or tactical hacks feels natural and empowering, keeping RoboCop’s essence while making you feel like a badass taking down corporate thugs. Performance-wise, it’s a dream. Running on Linux with Proton and a 3080, the game is buttery smooth, delivering high frame rates and snappy, responsive controls. No stutters, no lag—just pure, fluid action that lets you stay locked in.
