RiME

I didn't expect to like this game as much as I did! Apart from some systems feeling a little clumsy (climbing is kinda infuriating in some moments), Rime does everything extremely well. The visuals and soundtrack are amazing and despite being light on mechanics, I never felt bored while playing. The narrative is surprisingly good too, which is a great feat considering everything is told without a single word. If you are into games like Journey and Gris, I think you'll like this one.

Game is visually beautiful and I found the story to be an engaging and intriguing metaphor for coping with loss. But the commands are very drifty and the automatic positioning of camera in certain situations where you actually should use it to look around instead of guessing where you have to go kind of ruined the experience for me.

My PC can run Witcher 3, MGSV, Arkhan Assylum and other similar and later games on steady 60 FPS, but this game constantly dipped beneath 25 with my fans sounding as if they were about to explode. That kind of ruined the experience for me. Which is a shame, because the music, environments and story seemed worthy - if only I could play it.

Hab es 2017 bereits gespielt (über einen bekannten "Konkurrenten" von GOG) und fand es toll. 5 Jahre später macht es genau so viel Spaß. Habe es 2018 bei einer Gratis-Aktion kostenlos erhalten und bin etwas überrascht, dass es noch immer für 35,- € verkauft wird. Mein Bauchgefühl sagt: so um 20,-/25,- wär ok. Also auf Sale warten. Leider werden bei GOG nicht alle Trophäen erkannt -selbst automatische Trophäen im Spielverlauf werden merkwürdigerweise nicht frei geschaltet?! (bei dem "Konkurrenten" war das kein Thema). Zum Spiel: Stimmige Atmosphäre. Absolut entspannend und trotzdem (Story) spannend/packend. Leichte bis mittelschwere Rätsel und wer Lust hat darf auch noch Sammelobjekte und Trophäen jagen. Was will man mehr? Gute Unterhaltung mit viel Gefühl für 10 Std.

I'm gonna be clear: Beautiful graphics, even though there were some performance issues at the start. The soundtrack is awesome. When you can listen to the sountrack without playing the game and you still like it, it's because it has the power to move you, without the game. The story may be simple, but you can still cry with it.
