Please read my review of the main game!!
I don't really need to say much more here, but I'm surprised yet again. Really one of those "No Regerts" situations. I have ZERO REGRETS buying this nice Expansion. It's just great all around and I have no complaints. It makes the game more interesting, and more user friendly without dumbing anything down or making it feel like a downgrade. This expansion is just plain good. Some small things that could be improved: I do feel that gravity wells are way too violent and strong and difficult to pilot through. I'm not saying "it's challenging" more like I'm saying "My ship is now mashed potatoes" so I did get a mod from the great modding community to calm this down a bit, and now it's fine. Key binding... I have still not figured out a way to take some parts only, and attach them to one button, and the other half of similar parts, and put them on a different button. It's nice that we have the ability to keybind what we can, but it would be nice if it went deeper and gave even more complex options. just a hope: would be nice to eventually be able to overlap parts in just the ship editor, and it would be nice if my faction would use more of the ships that I created and saved (local only no internet) because they seem to not spawn my bigger creations unless I spawn them in myself. one thing that annoys me is when the screen has more ships on it, the game slows down (not lag) as some kind of feature. Not sure if this is related to the fields expansion, or just the normal thing. I would love to disable this slowdown effect forever. My computer can handle it, so please free me from the slow-mo! (not talking about the slow field areas) Thanks and much respect to Anisoptera Games for giving gog.com customers updates sort of as fast as steam (I think it was really fast dec 29 2019) and Thanks and much respect for not blocking mod downloads from steam for people who can't or wont ever use steam itself.
