The worlds have been reconstructed and enhanced to provide realistic water, changing weather, dynamic lighting, life-like foliage, bloom and other camera effects, and more. We’ve even redesigned the interface to provide an enjoyable way to explore for both novices and gamers.

The version I dreamed about
I played Myst (A number of it's incarnations) back when and have always wondered about a version where one could walk around instead of click and go because I love the immersive feel. Well, here it is! I like how one can choose to play it either in classic mode or "real" mode. The graphics of some things are not quite as good as the original, but its close. Well worth it on sale and even if you don't like puzzle games (I'm not a fan), but love immersive atmosphere and such. (Yeah, I play with a walkthrough guide, so what? I'm there for the atmosphere and such, not solving puzzles).

Easier than I remember?
Myst is a classic that so many 90s kids remember as that game where you click on everything and have no idea what you're actually doing, or how to progress. I came back to this game proabably 15-20 years ago, thinking maybe as an adult I'd better understand it, and the answer was no. Now revisiting over 30 years after the original release, I can say that I was impatient and not nearly observant enough. Everything that happens in this game is intentional and with meaning. Take your time. Soak in the atmosphere. Push every button and see what happens. Press more buttons and see if anything changes to your benefit. Take notes. If something seems important, it probably is. Just don't get caught trying to make too much sense of anything that looks like a trap that's been set. **** / ***** Pros: You can logically solve every puzzle in the game. It's a beautiful game, even decades later. The characters are wonderful. No death screens. Cons: Far, far too short if you're analytical. If you sit down and really put in the effort, you can finish this in under 5 hours. The classic control scheme is missing the quick movement option for areas you've already been to. You're going to watch movement animations far too often. It's somewhat easy to overlook one of the earlist and most important clues, unless you're turning and looking at every juncture.

What an Improvement!!
WOW! 3D graphics and 360 movement allows players to ROAM!! This was a great game when we first played it in "94 and now with graphic and interaction improved it's terrific! I thoroughly enjoyed this 30 years ago and playing this again was exceptional with the improvements. I liked this return to MYST that i acquired Riven, Myst Exile, Myst Revelation and MYST End of Ages. Currently i am debating on URU and Obduction
