Rayman® Forever

Played this when I was a kid and while the art design is inspired, the level design and overall difficulty borders on masochistic. I could never get past the first half-dozen levels, because the gameplay is just unrelentingly brutal and therefore not very fun. Everything kills you, everything happens without context and there is little to no difficulty curve. 10 years later, I've played hundreds of games including ones which are difficult yet fair and this one stays the same. Three stars because the level editor is easy and a lot of fun-- you can make your own, fair, playable levels to wash away the taste of cheapness that comes from enduring the campaign. Recommended as a history lesson on how many old games were inviting but inaccessible at the same time. Even the great artists had to start somewhere, fortunately it seems Ansel learned his lesson with this one and apologized to the gaming community with Beyond Good & Evil.

This game is extremley good. Amazing music, great gameplay and it has a really nice atmosphere to it. The only thing that's kinda... Off, is the learning curve. The game get's way to hard way to fast... Or maybe I'm just terrible at the game. It doesn't really matter, buy this game. It comes with Rayman 1 (ofcourse), a level editor and extra levels. It's a really great deal.

Yes! Finally I'm able to play Rayman like I used to. It's just that I can't punch in the game, which is pretty important as you all know. I'd love to relive the memories I have with this game from 'the good old days' but I can't progress with this weird ass bug. Anyone know a fix? I really really really love this game but can't play because if this shitty bug. It doesn't recognise the input, even if I change the key settings.

Well... I have no idea, but somehow the fist in my game isn't working at all. I've been switching the key for it a lot and nothing changed. I feel bad because I really wanted to finally reconnect with the game after years...
