Happy Birthday, Quake!
Be it due to nostalgic goggles or not, Quake is just perfectly rough around its edges and features an outstanding monster design. Levels are dark and gritty and its ambient soundtrack accentuates its overall feeling of being transported to a parallel dimension. If I had to pick a single favorite PC game, it would be this one - still after 24 years.

A worthy title for years to come!
Quake is an absolutly amazing first person shooter. No more needs to be said. This classic video game was released in 1996, yet it's still aged like fine wine. Quake is revolutionary in the genre, outstanding in it's gameplay, and with breathtakingly beautiful atmosphere. I couldn't reccomend this masterpiece of a game more to fans of the fps genre and video game enthusiasts. If I could make one gripe about Quake, it would be that it's software hasn't aged very well since 1996. Obviously, software from 1996 isn't the easiest thing to run in the 21st century, and when doing so, it can cause problems ranging from big to small. As long as you're OK with going out of your way to enhance this ancient art piece, this game will be an amazing experience. Though, a new revitalized version of Quake will be available shortly on Gog.com, coming as a free update to the game, and it should iron out the wrinkles of this fantastic piece of gaming history. 4/5 stars, would 100% recommend.

Great VFM.
I will only on the single player content as I've never bothered with multiplayer on this game. The graphical and gameplay improvements were good enough to justify the price (split screen is the icing on the cake). However, the included expansions have absolutely insane amount of content and add at least another 30-40 hours. The only con I'd add is that they lack the horror-ish atmosphere of the OG campaign. On a sale this game is an absolute steal for retro shooter fans.

So the classic is here!
What else can be added. Back in the days I did not have a computer to run this game. Only so it at LAN houses. I have played it a couple if of times since and it never dissapoint when it comes to an old shooter that alone with Unreal set the standards of fast paced gameplay adn pure fun. It runs on almost anything today so there is no excuse for not playing it. Buy it now!

I had never played Quake and the truth is that it is an incredible game, very fun and frenetic.
