Wish I could refund

Game trailer looks amazing, gameplay is incredibly stale, feels like Spear of Destiny a bit too much. The levels are uninteresting, and the lack of a decent map is annoying on some of the maps. Also, I dont know if it is me, but the final boss of the first episode, the giant wizard, 2 shots you through the walls....the only way I could even get to his second form was with melee attacks with Melee Spec but when you kill the second form he self destructs and you die...as you only have like 15hp left...its not balanced....lost all 6 of my lives and had to start all over again running the same boring, stale maps...no thanks. Save your money and buy Ion Maiden, Dusk, or Amid Evil.

Satisfying

Here is the good things, it's a fine *** classic shooter style inpired by some masterpiece like Doom, Blood, Hexen with some perks and RPG elements in it. The Arsenals are awesome from axe, pistol, to BFG-alike and it's upgradable into more brutal weapons. The combat is way so satisfying, fast, brutal, and satisfying, even when you swipe your axe to kill some enemies it feels way too good. i never expect great level audio on an indie game like this but Project warlock is nailed it, the guns blazing sounds, the soundtrack, the destructions is great, except for the player voice that so low. There are plenty of enemies to destroy into pieces from small spider, zombie, big monster, huge demon, giant robot and BIG BAD BOSS. the enemy type and the environment is difference each episode, there is 5 episodes with 12 missions each, and both the enemy and the environment is nicely designed with unique artstyle. the game a bit hard for the first few mission especially because the game is a bit rogue-like on standard and Hardcore difficulty even the dev says it wasn't rogue-like but i fell a bit rogue-like in it. facial expressions is.. well.. good but too bad it's in left corner of the screen. Also nice easter-eggs and pop culture references. Project Warlock is another satisfying "Run + Gun = Fun" even there is a few things that i hate about it but it's still a nice tribute to old-school shooter plus you got the soundtrack for free which is great and i highly recommend this game.

This game is a MUST BUY!

Just Finished Episode 1 and every moment of this game has been terrific! The art style is amazing and detailed. The first boss was amazing! The soundtrack is on point and pulls no punches. The only downside the mouse sensitivity has to be adjusted as it feels overly sensitive out of the box. 5/5 Stars What are you waiting for buy it NOW!

Loves it but...

The game is REALLY nice, but the mouse lags with the FPS. All my setup is high-end i7-8800 with a geforce 1080 and 16GB ram, so im really wondering why i get mouse input lag when there is action on screen. Other than that its really good.

Pretty good, but with some minor flaws.

Overall I am really enjoying the game. It's a bit of a throwback to fps's of yesteryear, but it's very much it's own thing. This isn't a doom clone in the slightest. The pace is slower, and at the end of each level you get to spend upgrade points on weapons or spells. Generally with weapons you get a choice between 1 of 2 upgrades. So if you want to experience all the weapons and each of their upgrades you will probably have to playthrough a couple times(unless there is a new game + mode which would be nice). Haven't really touched the spells, but from what I have heard they aren't as satisfying as the guns. Music is solid, I really enjoy it, and the musics seem to fit the feel of the level you are on. There are some pretty cool winks and nods at older games, and some pop culture. Personally I felt that the snow level was very much inspired by John Carpenter's The Thing, and the Egypt level feels like a bit of a throw back to Serious Sam. The options menu really is something to ogle at too. You can customize your game to look exactly as you want. miss limited colors from older hardware? you got it. Want to have it look like you are playing on a CRT? go for it. It is a really cool addition. There are a few things that I don't like. I don't like how short the stages are. most can be completed in a few minutes which is a bit disappointing. Also I feel there could a better visual, or audio representation of taking damage. I sometimes find myself dying without even knowing I was taking damage in the first place. Overall though, I like it. I would recommend picking it up, plus it's only $12.
