Fun potion crafting

Exactly as it says on the title, it's a game about mixing ingredients and selling potions to people. The fun part is that each ingredient moves a little potion on a map, and you have to be clever which ingredients you mix to explore the map and find new potion recipes. The whole process also genuinely looks like you're mixing a potion, even though you're trying to navigate the map. A great way to relax, meeting quirky locals and selling weird potions to them.

A Unique Mixture...

To anyone who has played it before, Potion Craft is essentially the brewing minigame found in Kingdom Come: Deliverance but with the added challenge of trying to maintain a storefront. To anyone who doesn't know what I just described, the alchemy minigame in KC:D required the player to mix together a batch of herbs to a liquid base and mix for a pre-determined length of time before decanting the solution (which hopefully won't kill you when consumed). Potion Craft does not attempt to go as in-depth as the previously mentioned title but it does bring something new to the mix (pun absolutely intended). Potions require a combination of ingredients, liquid base, proper stirring and flame to get a potion to come out the other end. This is done through a rather novel 'alchemical map' for lack of a better term. Each ingredient will guide the brewer in a general direction and it is up to the brewer to steer towards the desired outcome. (Watch out for the vortex and bone traps - they can ruin a potion!) On top of this, the brewer is also a shopkeeper! Various villagers will stop by and request a potion to suit their needs - something to cure a hangover, a concotion to start a fire, something to drive away vermin, or even something a little darker...In any case, it's up to you to brew the potion to suit their needs - or drive them away empty-handed. Add in trevelling merhcants who can sell ingredients and tools to make brewing easier...and by now you might think that this is overwhelming. It is far from that. This is a wonderful time sink. Never did I feel overwhelmed; if anything, I bumped up the difficulty to make things a little more interesting. Potion Craft is a title suitable for kids and adults alike. This experience is wrapped in an artstyle copied from medieval textbooks. It's gorgeous beyond words and easy on the system resources. Potion Craft is an amazing experience. A true palette cleanser from the games of today, I cannot recommend it enough.

Wonderful 5/5 masterpiece

I have just bought it yesterday. After 4 and half hours of playing with some minor breaks i could't pull myself from PC :) Beautiful artwork ,UI and music perfectly fitting the topic of the game. Simple ,,yet no boging but positively addictive gameplay, that even child can understand and enjoy ,and boy it's enjoyable for both kids and adults alike. NateJWatkins has written negative rating and clearly he didn't know what was writing about: -game was on early acess back in 2021 and in 13 december 2022 has left it You can read it even on the developers potioncraft.com site . Now You got 400 unique potion orders, new maps, new enthrailingmechanisc etc. -You gain from garden more then + 1 of ingredients /day. Sometimes in Your garden grow casual plantss ,sometimes You get some rare species and thats the beauty of it when You wake up and get the nice suprise to see that some rare specimes has grown in Your garden. The fact it's random is as it should be cause it's alchemy simulator,where You work on what You get and not farming simulator. If You lack something You can buy it from different vendors and planting Your own indgredients would make trade with vandors in game totally pointless. You can also wait and the ingredients will sooner or later grow in Your garden,You just need to be patient. -All of 4 branches on progression skill tree work correctly .It's up to You which way You wanna go: faster map discovering/more bonus XP on map/ more gold or haggling.

One-note game, but enjoyable for the OCD

I spent a long time with this game. It needs a few more interactions. However it really is theraputic to play and to preferect things.
