Populous™: The Beginning

... and yet, I spent more time playing the demo (packed with Sim City 2000) than the game itself. For me it was never about progressing through the levels; what I liked to do was see how much I could get away with, building huge cities or altering the entire face of the globe.

I remember playing this game in my childhood and it's still just as good. It offers challenge and you can try many different playstyles. Amazing game you can sink hours into. However, when I tried to launch the game through GOG launcher, it crashed on startup. BUT I found a FIX: launch the game straight from the documents. Open the 'PopTP' and it should work. I have windows 10 and I feared that I wouldn't get it to work, but thankfully this fixed it.

RTS with magic (literally and figuratively). I had buy it as soon as I saw it on gog, but unfortunately I still play the pirate version, because this one from gog.com has some problems with resolution. I don't know why I can't run it with higher res. Anyway I still recommend this title :)

I like the idea of GOG. It's great, however, the reality of GOG is that when they say a game works on your OS, means that it's possible one person out of a thousand got it to work. This game does not work on Windows 7. IT DOES NOT WORK ON WIN 7. If it works on another OS don't say it works on every OS just because you are trying to make money. It's super lame. I really, really, really had hoped I would be able to play this game. So disappointing...
