True gem
Must have for metroidvania fans. Game is charming, lighthearted and colorful. Nice story, solid challenge and surprisingly long.

grateful and happy
Earlier I got the game on Nintendo and Steam, later I got it on GOG again just to show my support to Phoenotopia which I hope everyone does the same. It is a super nice game and has lots of contents to explore in an amazing adventure experience. Delicate graphics, touching storylines, hidden quests and cute characters. It is a remake of the original flash version and both are great. While I will keep coming around and playing the game, I hope there will be a sequel, so Gail can eventually bring back and reunite with her missing villagers.

Frust vorprogrammier
... und zwar genau auf die richtige Art und weise. Wer herausfordernde Bosskämpfe mag, bei Rätseln gerne Stift und Papier zückt und für aufmerksames Spielen belohnt werden will, ist hier genau richtig. Allerdings sollte man das Spiel in dem Wissen kaufen, dass es auch mal SCHWER wird. Also so richtig. Hin und wieder muss man an einer Stelle umdrehen um bessere Ausrüstung zu suchen, oder auch mal dem gleichen Boss wiederholt eins auf die Mütze geben, bis es klappt. Das Ganze macht natürlich nur mit einer sauberen Steuerung Spaß, die das Spiel zum Glück liefert. Mit Maus und Tastatur fühlte ich mich an keiner Stelle unfair behandelt und wusste meist nach jedem Game Over was ich falsch gemacht hatte, auch wenn ich hin und wieder umdrehen musste um frische Ideen zu sammeln. Insgesamt genau mein Ding. Dazu ist die Welt einfach total putzig! Die Geschichte gewinnt jetzt vielleicht keinen Preis für Originalität, macht das aber mit einer mitreißenden Erzählweise wieder wett. Nach etwas mehr als 40 Stunden bin ich am Ende angekommen und wurde neben einem tollen abschluss auch mit einem richtigen Erfolgsgefühl belohnt. Einen weiteren Besuch werde ich Castella auf jeden Fall nochmal abstatten.

Lots of content
Maybe the game is too big for its own good. I forgot what the main story was about because of the sidequests. And to start sidequests you need to talk to NPCs, which can be boring since there are lots of them and all of them have more than one dialogue option. It definetly wasn´t the short and relaxing game I was looking for to kill some time. But still a good game.

Excelent!
I first played the initial version of this game in Armor Games and fell in love with how well crafted it was: the gameplay, the music, the pixel art. I promised myself that I would definitely buy it as soon as the sequel came out. In the end there was no sequel, but a complete game from beginning to end, keeping all its great qualities and going beyond. Congratulations to the dev!
