Neat module but currently non-functional

First off, it's not true that this module has been shared for free by the developers. It was "abandonware" and noone noticed or complained that it was shared online, but it was not officially sanctioned as a legal free download. Personally, I'm thankful that Beamdog managed what others failed to do before and finally made this commercial Premium Module available for purchase again, and without DRM, no less. It's not the best of them, but nice to have. That being said, I still recommend against buying it at the moment, since the last official patch introduced a game-breaking bug that makes NWN EE crash when you try to enter the castle. The issue has recently been fixed in the newest development build and Beamdog has therefor closed the bug report as completed, but since GOG does not receive development builds like Steam, only official patches, that is of little use to GOG users. And last time it took a whole year for all the development fixes to arrive as official patch on GOG. So if you think about buying it, be aware that it won't work with your GOG version of the EE until the next official patch arrives.

Dragon Lance Adventures (DLA)

Dear Reader, The story DLA , origionally a group with 30+ core modders, intended on creating the Dragonlance world via Neverwinter Nights. After a few years, they experienced what most modders dream will happen. In recognition of their fine work, Bioware hired DLA team members along with a few other people from other modding projects (such as CODI) in order to produce official content. Origionally, this expansion was 13.00 USD for NWN Diamond Eddition (Bioware/EA) and introduced mounted combat: a feature long desired. I'm glad to see the cost for this module has dropped considerably to only 2.99. Certainly worth the money.

Bugs

I have no problem with beamdog releasing these little modules for 3-5$ I will gladly keep paying for them as they are fun and different from current games. What I object to is these mods being broken after an update like EE. In this case the the guards not lowering the drawbridge to the town. The mod is not unplayable yet as there is a back door area transition you can use but bugs like this should be fixed if you are going to keep charging money for these mods.

One Nearly Lethal Bug

Would give this 5 stars, but it has a pair of bugs - one of which kill the experience. Jousting: if one snaps a joust and no one is dismounted, it will get stuck - there's no way around this, so you need to save before jousting and then reload any time this happens (and you can't save mid-bout, so it's an all-or-nothing win) - you can save *between* rounds, however. There's also a glitch that allows you to level your NPCs infinitely (so I wound up dismissing them as I'd accidentally levelled them both to lvl 40) Aside from these to issues (with work-arounds): EXCELLENT DLC and highly recommended.

You know what else is funny?

Just because an old mod, for old hardware was available in the past, doesn't mean that people who took the time to update the mod, spend time testing it on modern equipment, with modern OS's shouldn't be compensated for their time! good grief. 2.99 to take the guesswork away and save myself a couple hours of headache? WELL WORTH IT! My time is worth WAY more an hour than 3 measley bucks.
