Myst Masterpiece Edition

It's pretty, but feels very repetitive. I get lost, there are "puzzles" that make no sense. Simply not my thing.

I have very fond memories of playing this game, before it was enhanced to the "Masterpiece Edition". But, if your computer supports 3D graphics at all well then you should get RealMyst which gives you everything that this game has, allows you to move freely through a 3D world, plus it gives you an extra age.... So, 4 or 5 stars if Real Myst weren't available.

I had the actual disc version of Myst a long time ago and I loved it! The only problem was, i could only use it on a windows 98 which was gotten rid of so this would help immensely!

When I first heard about this game, I was told to try and figure out all of the puzzles, and what I was supposed to do, out for myself. There is a hint and solution option if you need it, but I recommend only using it when you have run out of ideas. Which hopefully should not happen too often if you think logically about each puzzle you come across. I only have two big complaints about the game. One, the game seems to crash on me every five to ten minutes, forcing me to shut down my computer. Two, the maze in the spaceship. Apparently even the creators apologized for that one. Otherwise, the Masterpiece Edition of Myst is a great experience that you should experience for yourself. Go back to the year of 1993 and see what all the fuss was about all those years ago when it first came out.

I never played a game so deep and intense on the atmosphere than this. It is incredibly developped for its time and I cannot recommend it more. Its only issue is the lack of compatibility with Windows 7, but this is so good that I wouldn't mind downgrading to XP just to enjoy this more.
