quintessentially millenial
By which I mean "visually appealing, but lacking any substance". There's no game here: just a series of multiple choice questions buried under a grating soundtrack and poor writing. The one star is for the visuals. Somebody obviously put a lot of work into them.

Game is an aquired taste.
How much you're going to like this game is going to come down to how much you like millenial SJW characters and writing. There is almost no game play, the art is okay and the music is fine. However most of the experience is reading the graphic novel. For a game about finding a date to the prom I found I hated all the characters. This game was really not for me. After playing for about twenty minutes I got tired of the writing and just clicked my way to the end and picked a random paramour. This game is definetly an aquired taste and some will like it a lot and vibe with the characters and others will not. If you like social justice naratives then you'll probably enjoy this game.

An honest balancing review
If you notice the overall rating of the game it doesn't quite match with the actual reviews here. So here comes a review from a mature gamer who's not teen neither a girl. Be assured this game has great potential to be "like totally rad" for players aged 13-22, the interval may be wider for female players. If you are out of this scope then the potential to be of any interest to you is near to zero. Better try out before buying if you insist on making your own opinion. It is clear the setting of the game is imitating Monster High(TM) however I still enjoyed the movies more than this utter nonsense. The language of the game may be considered "like totally rad", I mean adult for the target audience while the mature rest will find it clearly immature and lacking actual content. The overall art direction is similarly aimed to impress high-schoolers by a fictional and ideal high school life style... Which in a big picture doesn't make any sense at all other than impress, be popular or burn the competence and make wild decisions for no reason... other than... impress and be popular for similarly impaired. The game mechanics is all about making decisions and pick one option from available choices. The decision making here is driven by your needs to impress, burn, and all this teeny whatnot. Still interested? Well then go for it because this game has really nothing else to offer.
