A Great PC Port, Now Origins-Free!
I loved playing this game with my cousins years ago, and it still holds up playing it now on PC. Seriously love the bright, colorful aesthetic, and the story's not too bad either. Aside from wishing I could grab certain ledges that Faith won't latch onto, the climbing has aged a lot better than Assassin's Creed 1. Performance is great on my PC as well. I have a much older AMD and it runs well on 720p at the full 60 FPS, with a couple of settings tuned down. Feeling confident enough to try it on an Intel machine! Only one thing really bugs me about this port: Playing Mirror's Edge on a keyboard. I'm used to shooters needing keys for reload/use/crouch/melee at most. This game, on the other hand, requires I'm guessing several buttons, since it's focused more on platforming and hand-to-hand combat than shooting. Shooting is such a secondary function to the combat that there's not so much as a reload button. tl;dr, this is a great port. If your fingers are feeling tongue-tied, even after some practice, try playing with a controller. This is a different kind of "shooter", so you're not missing much by not using a mouse here.
