Short and sweet
Easy to play, hard to master, short game with ony 7 sections, but still took me 5 hours to beat. The story was easy to follow but still has more depth than newer campaigns. 7/10 well worth the money

Could really use a remaster
If I could split the review score it'd be 5/5 game, 3/5 PC port. It can't do anything higher than 1080p, it has a 59 fps cap (not 60, 59, it's weird), it doesn't like HDR displays, and, at least on my setup, putting it on fullscreen makes the game run sluggishly with a very noticable input delay. I have to set it to windowed and then use an external program to make it borderless. I would absolutely kill for a remaster of this game. Really, it doesn't need much, wouldn't even need to update textures or anything like that, just uncap the framerate, let it render higher than 1080p, give it some proper HDR support and this game would look and feel phenomenal. As it stands, it's an incredible game that doesn't behave as well as I'd like with modern hardware. Certainly not a dealbreaker though. It's the mother of all omlettes, can't fret over every egg, Jack. What you need to know is that this game has Sauce™. It feels good in the hands. It's a game you'll continue playing long after 100%ing it because it just feels good. The parry alone is borderline orgasmic. This game has been out for over a decade and I still regularly revisit it because it's just so fun. Get your hands on it. Play it. You'll quickly see what makes this game so special

One of the greatest games i ignored
For me what is most surprising about this game is that it's not just good it´s really great . Didn´t expect to play this in 2024 but I´m really glad I did .

feels like a 2025 game
if you like hack 'n slash this game is a must, good ost, good gameplay, but i advise to use a controller, keyboard kind of breaks gameplay.

Masterpiece of highest proportion
I've seen people saying here that this game is not worth 5 star reviews I absolutely disagree with that statement and that's the reason I bought this game on gog, I already own it on steam. That being said why it's a masterpiece of highest proportion? At it's core it's very simple and fun game battle bosses get some perks make your own build that suits your action packed gameplay and that's there. Where this game goes really hard is setting, set, scene call it how you want it but it's essentially theater in video game form. It's over the top, it's loud and expressive so that everyone in the audience would hear and see what's going on. Edgyness and cheese are so over the top that even lactose intolerant folks can't resist it and just stuff themselves fill of it. The angst filled, borderline emo and 100℅ edgy soundtrack that seems to be perfect for Transformers movie but not for politics...and then the characters that are over the top and 100% about politica and agendas. But since both characters and soundtrack are put up to 11 it makes perfect soap opra for everyone. Male, female , edgelord, political comentator etc. Precisely this match of soundtrack and characters what makes this game so good it's the absurdity that emerges you into the game and makes it fun. Given today's (2024) situation in the world there's plenty of bad stuff going on, unfortunately it's in the open and you can clearly see that these over the top characters and subjects in the game are more close to reality then they should ever be. This game in some way is a perfect medicine if you're weight on by today's politics, play it, it will make you feel bettet. If you are completely not interested in politics , play it, it will keep you on track to stay away but will give you some tools to meme on folka who are too political. This game is a masterpiece and it's becoming better and better every election cycle it appears. Best soap opra in the world for anyone who's mildly interested in violence
