Any space 4X game I've ever played, I've had to compare with Master of Orion 2. So far, nothing has measured up. In some areas, it's probably simplistic, but everything just hangs together well, and the focus of play is always where I want it to be. Stomping your enemies in the turn-based battles is a nice payoff to managing your empire and designing your fleet well. So grab a death ray and some assault shuttles, and go subjugate an alien race. Or just cut their planets apart while building new ones of your own.

THE definitive space 4x game
The defining and still the best game of the genre. Unlike its many imitators, the ship design process is neither overcomplicated nor shallow, there's tactical combat, and unlike the Endless Space series the fleet and system management never bog down to the point where it takes 20 minutes to take one turn. Also, it processes AI turns quickly, once you take your turn you go immediately to the next turn (again, unlike games like Endless Space where there's upwards of 30 seconds of dead time between turns)

Klasse DOS Spiel
Dieses Paket enthält 2 Klassiker. Master of Orion I und Master of Orion 2. Durch die Konfiguration des GoG Setupprogrammes, wird es so installiert das es unter Windows 7 HP 64 Bit wie eine Anwendung installiert wird, als wäre es für Win7 geschrieben worden, die Konfiguration erfolgt vom Installer, es öffnet sich beim Klick auf die Desktopverknüpfung (die optional erstellt werden) kann die DOSbox dann das Spiel im Vollbildmodus. Bei Master of Orion 1 und 2 hat man mehrere Stunden Spaß, bei MoO I ebenfalls wenn man die Grafik und ihr Alter bedenkt. Für MoO gibt es (in)offizielle deutsche Sprachdateien im Internet die einfach ins MoOI Verzeichnis kopiert werden können, man hat 9 Speicherstände der 10. ist für Autosicherungen alle 4 Runden reserviert. Für ein 1993,1998 Game sehr fortschrittlich, man kann auch mehr Speicherstände anlegen per Trick, einfach die Save1.gam Datei umbenennen in Save1.2.game anscheinend sucht er nach den Bezeichnungen Save1.gam bis Save10.gam dadurch kann man mehrere Speicherstände anlegen aber nur auf bis zu 10 gleichzeitig zugreifen, funktioniert bei MoO1 und MoO2 Zusatz bei MoO2 ist der Soundtrack als MP3.

Moo 1 and Moo 2 are awesome classics
MOO1 The Game that started it all. A great 4x game with a good space combat. Very fun to play. MOO2 Greatly improved visuals from MOO and a new Interdimensional enemy: the Antarans. More technologies and races. Hireable leaders to help your fleets and planets to perform beyond their abilities. Arguably one of the best 4x games ever made. Very addictive and fun.
