Faithful remake
I received Master of Magic as a Christmas Gift in 1995, and spent some of my best nights as a young lad transforming Arcanus into an undead wasteland via Zombie Mastery. This remake is fun and brings back the (magic) spirit of those good times.

MoM and it is all
Basically a good adaptation. Graphics is good, the lack of setting customization is annpying (like the exploring and automated combat report volume). The bug report slider is realy a pain in the ass for me. And what i did not take easy even on the original: that the end of turn nad finish of unit manufacturing automatically activating the highlight on the last unit. But at the end- I still hooking on it like i have done wit the old one.

Mostly great
There area few quirks, but the game is really enjoyable. The main gitch is with creating roads, the interface is poor, and trying to get units creating roads is annoying.

A fresh take of a magistral classic
Put it simply, I grew up with Master of Magic. I owned the floppy versione and the cd version. I love the classic and I love the remake. It's a bit different and it require sort of attunement, expecially in empire expansion. But is very faithful and full of quality of life improvements. Great work!

Bewährtes Konzept in neuem Gewand
MoM (das alte) ist eines meiner Lieblingsspiele, ich habe es unzählige Male durchgespielt und spiele es auch jetzt immer wieder. Diese Neuauflage ist (fast) das auf was alle gewartet haben: ein größtenteils unverändertes Spielprinzip in neuer Optik. Es gibt auch etwas zu meckern: - Musik spielt nicht durchgängig, manchmal längere Pausen - kleinere Bugs (Stadtmauer der Küstenstadt steht teilweise im Wasser) - Verknüpfte Knoten könnten besser erkennbar sein - ... im Großen und Ganzen macht das Spiel sehr viel Spaß und ich werde es noch öfters spielen. Gerade die Einheiten sehen besser und unterscheidbarer aus als in der Pixel-Version. Auch wenn das Spiel größtenteils 1:1 umgesetzt worden ist - was ja im Sinne der Fans war - hätte ich mir ein paar kleine Quality of Life Upgrades gewünscht wie z.B. vordefinierbare Strecken auf denen die Ingenieure bauen, etc. Alles in allem macht mir das Spiel viel Spaß und kann es nur empfehlen. Manch einer wird beim Original bleiben, aber imo schließen sich die Versionen nicht aus sondern laden beide zu leicht differenzierten Runs ein.
