Classic game, not well preserved
The game itself is obviously a classic. It's fine, as long as you don't expect it to be as polished as their later games. I don't have any nostalgia for it myself, but I can appreciate its significance. But I also have to consider the "game experience", as the guidelines say. The game ships with a six year old version of ScummVM, and it seems only one of the two versions include the original EXE file if you want to use a DOS emulator. The copy protection information is missing. ScummVM disables the copy protection by default (because of exactly this sort of things), but it means that if you enable the copy protection you're a bit stuck. Worst of all, the "enhanced" version is cracked - and not even particularly well - in a way that nerfs several of the game's puzzles. You can still solve them the right way, but it's all on the honor system. GOG claims they are unable to do anything about it, blaming the nebulous "developers". So let's say 3 out of 5 for the game, but 2 out of 5 for the game experience.
