Unique game from Bullfrog

You're a wizard on a magic carpet with an impressive arsenal of spells a castle and baloons that collect mana. This game works across genres. Is a kind of first person flying simulator with some real time strategy elements. The levels are quite diverse and the landscape deforms and you even have reflections of the sky into the water. The controls are akward. They are more like a flying simulator moving mouse up moves player down and moving mouse down moves player up. Reverse controls. Takes a bit of getting used to. Overall 5/5. A bit more polished and better version of this game is Magic Carpet 2 which expands the game and creates a more cohesive experience.

Classic game

I've played this to bits on Playstation before, decided to try out the original - highly recommended if you like the Bullfrog games. Wish someone would make a remake of this

Hidden Gem of the 1990s.

I played this when it came out as a six year old child. Game blew my mind then and it honestly blows my mind now. This game was WAY ahead of it's time and even holds up today. It takes from so many different genres, like MOBA's, PvP, PvE, base bulding, base defense, mild puzzle elements and it's insanely difficult to boot. You can get access to more powerful spells that can terraform the very earth by way of giant volcanos spewing hot lava balls or huge earthquakes ripping through the land. Summon an undead horde of skeletons to hunt down your enemies and kill the defenseless human villages? Want to play as a hero to the humans or a selfish villain that farms them for mana? Got that too. Game is a real banger.

Probably one of the better games ever

This game has amazing replay value. All birds must freaking die. Wizard duels crossed with never ending drive-by except you're flying. Radical.

Pixel-Perfect Revival

This was one of the first truly 3D PC games on the market in 1994, and still holds up as an innovative, fast action/strategy/wizard/flight sim, which is properly unforgiving. Still, the game is very entertaining and remains a timeless classic!
