A love letter to the 80s most notorious lady's man.

I liked the old games, up from Larry 1 to Larry 7. They all were politically incorrect, had dirty (and infantile) humor, and fun locations and situations. This newest edition has it too. Of course there are now hot girls with weird sexual preferences, gay people, hipster people, drag queens, smartphones, computers with more than 64 kb of RAM. And the game has fun with all of that! It's refreshing and a nice time travel back to the 80s, a time where everything was possible and not every second person so easily offended. Also, the game, as politically incorrect as it is, never shows an evil side or delves into hate speech. It just pokes fun at it. The puzzles are usually good, with enough subtle hints how to solve what. There are a few moon logic puzzles, but they are rare. So overall a good sequel to one of the true heroes of computer game history. Oh, and you can't die. Thank god! Even if you die you can start over where it happened, like in Larry 6. Great!

Larry 2.0 ?!

For everyone that is looking for a flashback to the good old Al Lowe days, you may get disappointed. This game differs a lot from what we used to know as LSL and his sleazy 80's humour. But this isn't all bad. What they did is bring Larry to modern times with the internet, cam girls, online dating and hipsters. This game shows how Larry would fit into a modern world that differs a lot from the golden LSL days while managing to critique the quirks and superficialities of our modern times in a funny way. Once you see the logo of the hip cellphone company is a big prune that coincidentally looks like the female body part, you feel right at home. Larry manages to adapt fast to the vegan hipsters that want a polaroid or the superficial influencers that are all about the likes and followers. Naturally some jokes and riddles don't really fit into a classic LSL game. But Al Lowe showed with his last remake of Larry 1 that it is possible to adapt LSL to modern times. For some jokes you need to be a bit older or are familiar with the meme scene (f.e. rewinding a cassette with a pencil). So what does happen in the game? You meet various women and try to bed them. Like in every Larry Game this requires to get some specific items and solve some puzzles. And also like in every Larry game in the end something goes wrong. ### SPOILER ### The one thing that disappoints me, is the finale. There is no real happy end. Larry does not get a girl, he more or less settles into the modern tinder lifestyle. This is not what Larry was all about. Larry was always out to find love (and sex along the way) not cheap sex. This game was made in Germany. The graphics are solid but a bit different like LSL used to look (even in the last remake). Feels like the last Monkey Island. The voices are great! In english you get the original voice from LSL! In german you get the german voice of Barney Stinson from HIMYM. The voice actors do a great job. Shoutout to Uke Bosse (Gameone) as the german cop!

Best Larry game I've played

I always loved the Larry franchise, but there were always a few things, here and there, that irritated me in each game I've played. Like illogical puzzles or annoying mini-games. Somehow this latest installment kept a perfect balance with regards to story, humor and puzzles. At least for me. Looking forward to the next one!

A return to form for Larry

Admitedly, the humor sometimes falls short of the original, mainly because it's not so subtle or intelinget but more "in your face", but that shouldn't detract from the fact that this new Larry adventure game is a great return to form after the pitiful last 2 attempts (al lowe's remake excluded). The puzzles are smart, the humor works (most of the time), characters are interesting and the dialogue is well written. It's not the best Larry game, but it's so much better than anything else we got lately that we should all be thanking the developers for doing such a good job. What I hope is that this game sells well enough for them to work out the kinds on a sequel and keep the Leisure Suit Larry franchise going. Give it a try... well worth your time and money.

Great Adventure Game

Honestly the best adventure game I've played in a long time. Funny, long and has a soul. Please make more games like this.
