Always willing and able to perform some undercover work, our man Larry is a swingin’ single guy out for some action! His lines are as groovy as a record and his strut is something to be seen!
Leisure Suit Larry’s Greatest Hits and Misses features the loveable loser Larry Laffer in five complete adventures with throbbing suspense, pulchritudinous point-and-click action, and some parsing on the side! Hubba hubba! Help Larry score as you hit the town of Lost Wages, Nevada which “looks like a huge neon dinosaur making it with 6,000 acres of electrified sequins”, the scintillating sandy shores of Nontoonyt Island, and go to Los Angeles and paint the town red. Larry, you have not aged well...
The first of the infamous Larry games. I had to give it a try. The graphics are beyond dated at this point, so I’m not even going to judge it by that. Basically, this game is one of the original type of games where you have to actually type in the comment section of the game what you want to see happen, for example, you would type “Eat apple”, to see someone eat an apple. This game may not be for everyone at this point in time, but for an old school gamer such as myself, I had to give it a try. It is still the typical Leisure Suit Larry antics offered by any of the games I had played in my Original Xbox years. Would I recommend this game to a friend? No, most likely not. Could I have a conversation about this game in this series? Most definitely! I'll give it a solid 1/5, for the story in this dated game. Too much of ... nothing...
The only one I can play is, "Love for Sale." All the other ask my age, or some other question that I don't have then quits on me. I think it's a form of copyright protection. It's annoying, to say the least and I am wondering if it's worth the effort. Even the game I could actually start playing - Love for Sale - I have no idea what to do or why.
