Disappointing
An open-world game set in Lego city with split-screen multiplayer, what's not to like? Well, the controls for one thing; absolutely dreadful: way too many buttons, some of which are confusingly labeled and don't natively work with controllers (I don't have and XBox or DualShock controller, so maybe that's my fault). After fiddling for what felt like ages with the bindings for my controller and clicking 'Apply', I go back to the game and the controls don't work. I check the bindings and lo and behold, they've been wiped clean and I have to try again, with the same result. In the end, I had to use JoyToKey to get a somewhat workable control setup, but even then singleplayer mode does not work, because every time I push a button on my controller, the key binding menu opens up, I guess because it realizes I've plugged in a controller but that there are no keybindings (again, because it refuses to save the settings). The key bindings are a total mess in other ways as well: the jump button for the on-foot sections is the same as the accelerate button for vehicle sections, you can only bind one key and you can't leave any keys unbound or else you can't leave the keybind menu. Of course, the game also apparently doesn't save any progress during missions, so I've played through the beginning section 4 times now. If my 4-year-old wasn't so keen on this game, I wouldn't even bother.
Hilft dir das weiter?
