Wäre super aber leider unspielbar
Eines meiner Lieblingspiele in den alten Jahren. Deshalb dachte ich mir, dass muss ich unbedingt wieder haben. Laut Angaben läuft es ja auf Windows 10 und es hat überwiegend nur positive Bewertungen. Natürlich gekauft, gestartet und ..... erst einmal gefrustet und enttäuscht ! Warum ? Das Spiel läuft nur unter der Auflösung 640x460. Es hört sich anfangs nicht so schlimm an, aber dass entspricht einer Fläche von 16cm länge und 13 cm Höhe. Das Spiel ist Spielbar aber total unübersichtlich, winzig und macht somit keinen Spass. Ich bin nicht heikel, eine Auflösung von 800x600 würde mir vollkommen reichen. Aber mit 640x460 aus meiner Sicht nicht spielbar. Habe auch den Kundendienst kontaktiert. Super freundlichen, jedoch ist das Spiel nur für die kleine Auflösung konzipiert worden. Negativ bewerte ich, dass dies niergends beim Kauf ersichtlich ist, daher nur 1 Stern. Ich habe extrem viel Zeit verbracht, das Problem selbst zu lösen. Es gibt einen Patch/mod der es erlaubt, dass Spiel in höhere Auflösungen zu spielen. Es funktioniert zwar, dass man eine höhere Auflösung hat, jedoch verursachte es bei mir extreme Grafikartenfehler > die es auch nicht erlauben zu spielen. Die Geld zurück Garantie habe ich nicht in Anspruch genommen. Ich habe noch Hoffnung, dass das Spiel auf meinen alten Rechner mit höherer Auflösung funktioniert. LG Schuggy

Very fast paced RTS for 1997
I played this in 1997 and now picked up a copy on GOG. Compared to other RTS of that time, it's pretty fast-paced. Especially, since there's no option to pause for getting an overview and distributing commands. Multiplayers frown upon pausing anyway, but the sad thing is, that multiplayer isn't working out of the box (as of now). The setting in a post-apocalyptic world is appealing and the units of the two factions are quite different and fun to play. Micromanagement of single units is difficult to maintain, because you loose to much time, thus tactical decisions are more about what to built and where to put it, than how to use your units. Still, it's fun to mass up your army and get this final Krush, Kill and Destroy feeling. All in all, there are better RTS out there, even with similar settings. As the complete campaign only consists of 30 missions and half of it are easy and fast to accomplish, you can finish the game in a few days, having a good time, before the simplicity of this rusher becomes boring. But don't be fooled, some missions are very hard, so there is challenge in it. ---------------------- I found this GOG version slightly more difficult compared to the original KKND release. Maybe it's a bit faster now. This version tends to be bugged. In addition to the multiplayer issue, it crashes regularly (e.g. on start). Using the old DOS release with DOSBox runs better. (Check the GOG forum if this criticism still applies)

Unplayable on Windows 10
As of my most recent windows 10 updates KKND Xtreme is no longer playable...I am able to load the game but within 10-30 seconds the game client just quits. So sad!
