Downgrade from KCD 1
After 30 hours in, only thing i feel is boredom. Story is worse than KCD 1. Graphics i don't care about so nothing plus/minus to say on this. Grind is more tedious then KCD 1, not in a way that its hard just reset time for vendors/sleep to recover (basically time sinks). Most quests are so tedious with go x, go y withouth any special merit or sense of accomplisment after you do them. For fans of part 1 and lot of time on hands get it on discount sale. For those who can play limited amount of games per year, skip this one. Its not a bad game , its just a bad game for its price.

A vast improvement on the original
Contrary to the "most helpful" review on this site currently, the game is DRM-free, and I can say that with some certainty. It runs well for as good as this game looks, even running on a Steam Deck on low settings. It works on Linux via Heroic Games Launcher with no fuss. And if you were bothered by the tedium that came along with the first game, the quest design and game feel have been improved immensely. There's still more room for them to improve on the formula in their next game, but I was absolutely hooked on this game for about 90 hours, most of that being side quests.

The first immersive rpg I played in ages that leaves me addictive and excited. They pulled off what bethesda didn't in ages, also a huge improvement to the first game, everything feels more polished. Runs very well in my opinion: rtx 3060 12gb 5600x 32gb configuration: all settings to ultra, shadows high dlss 4, quality resolution: 2560×1440 fps: around 45 Without any special tweaking stuff, just editing the settings for 5 min.

I will always be a bit Henry form now on
I think KCD I and II are a must for anyone who loves an immersive persona experience. Not sure if it just clicked with me, but I don't think I have ever felt such a strong feeling of identification with an RPG main character. The second game does everything the first did, just better, it features an amazing scenery, amazing story, lots of fun moments, some heart-wreanching moments, a merry band of criminals and nobles.. For a game that is first person, and where you mainly act alone, it does an excellent job at creating those NPC relationships that many people love in games where you control a party. By the end, our boy Henry has grown up so much from being a simple peasant, and being in the driving seat of such a beutiful personal growth is a priviledge I will always cherish. Audentes Fortuna Iuvat!!
