Clunky, but Enjoyable
I really like the concept and the story is ok, but the gameplay is a little clunky. I would say I died half the time due to some game mechanism. It is better to play with friend if that is still possible.

Clunky, but still decent experience
Just finished the campaign. It's a decent game , a bit clunky and dated obviously but shooting is fun. Story is ok but characters are not your typical hero types, they are hardened criminals. If you get this on sale you can have some fun with the game.

I consider the sequel criminally (lol) underrated and a future classic, deserving all the praise Spec Ops: The Line (frankly a dumber, hammier game) gets. Dog Days was panned as vicious and nauseating - as if that wasn't the point. Dead Men isn't brave enough to be so controversial. Gameplay wasn't a strong suit of the sequel and it isn't here, either; that leaves little else of interest. It's short, at least. Play it if you want a prototypical example of western games and culture of the 2000s. Play Stranglehold because it's fun. Otherwise play Dog Days: you might hate it, but at least you'll feel something.
