Jazz Jackrabbit 2 Collection

The first game was awesome and this one is even better. There was a time when Nintendo had Mario, Sega had Sonic, PsX had Crash Bandicoot and PC had Jazz Jackrabbit. The music in this game is poolishet with better quality and an addition to two new rabbits is very welcoming. I recommend this game for everyone.

I got this in summer 1999 and spent thousands of hours sinking my teeth into this. Even though I only had "The Secret Files" version, I had a blast playing this game (especially in conjuntion with Jazz Creation Station). I unfortunately don't have the disc anymore, though. When I found out that GOG had the full version of the game, I immediately bought it. This brings back so many memories.

This game has it all, a long single player campaign with multiple routes, a pretty innovative multiplayer mode and strong level design tools. It’s not stranger that Jazz Jackrabbit 2 still has an active community around with their own tools en levels. It is one of the best games you can find on the PC. I'm so glad it finally found it's way on GoG.

The history of me and this game goes back to 1999 when I bought a Jazz Jackrabbit 2 CD. It was the first game with multiplayer support that I have ever played online and boy do I remember the fun we all had playing it. It was like a new world has just opened before me. Back in the days it was a blast to play online and it came with a nice level editor (JCS) that I fell in love with and made several single and multi player levels. Over the years I remember many people came and went, but it doesn't stop there as the game evolved too. More and more 3-rd party addons were created for by the dedicated community, new game modes were added (ground force, instagib, lrs, trials, etc) , lots of patches were made, a number of websites appeared and disappeared, etc. Today I'm glad to see the game becoming more awesome than ever due to the jj2+ addon which is a must for any player. And of course the game is now finally on GOG. Shouts to: Black Ninja, Link, Neobeo, Grytolle, Dr. Spaz, Nimrod, EvilMike, BlurredD, Firesword, Wakeman, Eagle, Alberto, Monolith, Dizbob, Wisety, Newspaz, Lark, Spazzyman, ElectroPiZZa, Krezack, CelL, Blink, MrMagoo, Stiletto, URJazz, AtomicTaco, Onag, JelZe, Unhit, Cracco, Firesword, Stripe, and others I may have forgotten.

All those memories came back after I had bought this game. Very well-designed levels, great soundtrack and, of course everything in a very fair price. I highly recommend it! Thank you GOG for bringing this game for sale after almost 20 years!
