Great but too short
Fantastic add on, but incredibly short. Finished it on hard in under 4 hours. Can't complain about the price though

JA2 was one of my first gaming experiences and it is still one of the best games out there. JA2:UB is (in my opinion) the best balanced game of the whole series. Well it is rather short but it really kicks ass if you like strategy games and hate first person shoot-em-up stuff. Playing it on my Vista PC really makes me happy. I tried to get the gold version working but I had no chance without the old original UB disk. Unfortunately that disk broke yeeeeeaaaars ago. ...and then I found gog.com and a "Vista-ready" downloadable version of one of my all time favourite games.

Good expansion , a bit boring at the end
The big difference from the main game, is that you only pay your mercenaries an one time fee and they will stick to you no matter how much time you spent. I think the best part is the beginning, where you have to play in a sorta of Commandos-style(the videogame) and you are more often than not outnumbered and outgunned (we are talking about 6 mercenaries vs 20-25 enemies). The late game it's a bit boring, it starts when you enter the enemy installation and you have to slog through long dark corridors and rooms where in every there is a camping sniper.

Just like good old days
Game is still as great as it was years ago. Haven't seen any bugs or problems yet. Works perfectly on Aspire One netbook, even when underclocked to 800 MHz. There's just one downside... it's still helluva addicting game.

Half-Baked
SirTech rushed this out, due to financial problems which shut them down soon after. It's short, hard, not well-balanced, and the hurry shows. JA is an awesome franchise, but has been a mess since JA2. Hopefully, JA: Flashback returns the series to glory. If you've never played JA and have any interest in strategy games, you absolutely must. JA Deadly Games is the best JA2 has better graphics and more options, but gets slowed down with a lot of fiddliness. JA is still not bad, if you can tolerate really dated graphics and UI. Unfinished Business? Totally forgettable. Tolerable for a few bucks, if you're really desperate for a new mission.
