Indiana Jones® and the Fate of Atlantis™

I just finished this game for the first time and I didn't enjoy it in almost any way. Yet it's hard to find a single negative review for this game. It's considered by seemingly everyone to be one of the greatest adventure games of all time and I'm really baffled as to why. The most important aspects in a good adventure game for me are good story and interesting characters, good voice acting and fun puzzles. This game had none of that. While Indy himself sounded pretty good, he was boring as a character and didn't have much dialog to begin with. There were barely any characters to interact with and not much of any dialog overall. While I chose the "team" path, Sophia was a boring sidekick and absolutely no help in solving puzzles. There was some fun banter between her and Indy but it was much too little and came too late. The story overall was paper thin and made little sense. The puzzles, while at least mostly logical, were very tedious requiring a lot of patience, backtracking and sometimes just plain trial and error. The point of all the mazes seemed to be just to pad out the gameplay. It's not that I don't like this style of game. Just before playing this I played Kathy Rain and Whispers of a Machine and I loved those games. But this game was just a tedious boring mess from start to finish. The only positive I can think of is that Atlantis was pretty intriguing (as is the legend of it) and what they were doing there was interesting to find out. Of course we all like different things but in this case there is such a huge discrepancy between my thoughts of the game and the general consensus that it really got me stumped!

These games (DS1 and DS2) are good, very good. I enjoyed playing them 10 years ago. But this release.. just read more review for details about this release... 5/5 for original games, 1/5 for this release

Playing game on "Team Path". It was a pretty fun game. Taking into account it's a really old game so it has many of the bad elements of adventures games from the nineties. But it was still enjoyable until I hit a dead end. It was in Algiers after getting the Sunstone from Mr. Trottier. Went to Algiers and showed Omar the Sunstone. Instead of giving me camels and going to the next stage of the game Omar just keeps saying he can't "afford" the Sunstone. So the game is stuck in Algiers and I can't progress.

Heute filmbesprechung:Indy und der fluch des pixelramas teil 2 Diese spiele sind aus heutiger sicht unvollständig da pixelgraphisch rudimentär (denn ich erkenne nichts ausser pixel) und ausserdem völlig interaktivlos (wo ist bloss das inventar und all die tollen interaktiven gegenstände die ich immer so geliebt habe).man hat das gefühl in einem film zu sein in dem man selber nichts tun kann aussser die figur durch die szenen zu steuern die zudem auch ziemlich dröge sind und hinreichend bekannt.etweiligen genreklassikern kann dieses sequel also nicht das wasser reichen wobei zu vermuten ist dass es ein BUG ist.dafür spricht vor allem dass andere bessere klassiker hier on gog funktionieren und lustig sind hier aber nicht also wenig spass aufkommt.fazit:schluss mit luschtig pfui devs!

Played this game when I was a kid on the first commuter dad brought home, loved it and could not wait to play it now. However the game have no save function (it seems) nor a open a saved game game function (I am playing on mac) so it is unplayable unless I play the game in one go. This would be fine if I only could tab down the game but that function seems to be blocked (never seen a game have that function before either). Either I have missed something or this game is unplayable for mac user and in that case I want my money back... Really wanted to play it though....
