Team Cherry have done it again!

My first impressions are really good. Without spoiling anything, they've recaptured the charm of the original game while giving you fresh lands, mechanics, and enemies to play with. It crashed digital storefronts on launch day for a good reason. If you're a fan of the original this is a must play. If you're a newcomer to the series, then you could feasibly start here. The story appears separate enough that fans of the original would love the callbacks while newcomers wouldn't be lost from a lack of familiarity with the previous game's narrative.

Worth the wait!

It's like we never left, the moment-to-moment gameplay is still solid, familiar with more tricks, I like the tool system, the metroidvania x souls like fundamental is still there and even expanded on. This is crazy that we get such a big game for only $20. My only gripe was how this game was sold, on nearly every platform but GOG (We are slept on), servers were for lack of a better term: overloaded. I really hope that this does not set some weird precedent about being able to pre order. Especially considering the recent failed movement of not pre ordering BF6, and it ended up being the most pre ordered game on Steam. I understand Team Cherry's rationale behind not allowing it, but this was equivalent to waiting in line for Halo 2 all those years ago.

Harder than hollow knight but still good

The game is way harder than hollow knight, but the fast paced game play as opposed to base hollow knight gives a breath of fresh air and needing to keep on your toes with bosses. Although charms are not part of the game, the emblem thingies give the gameplay a tight, but fun way to experiment until you beat the boss.
