Criminally Underpriced
The value you get for the price is amazing, I don't understand how this is not at least 30 bucks. Parts of it feel like "Getting Over It", you know that annoying game where you climb with a sledgehammer. But beyond that it's the same quality of the previous installment gameplay was, streamlined, less grindy, with more focus on level design. Just buy it.

I love bugs
Thanks to GOG for not crashing like steam. This game is pure metroidvania souls like. Simple as. we all knew it would be and it is. A true sequel to hollow knight insofar as expanding the mechanics without feeling like a whole different game.

Good, but flawed
The difficulty is a little harsh. 2 damage attacks from most mobs is very overtuned for what it is (even the environment often does 2 damage if you miss a platform). If Hornet had more HP it wouldn't be too bad, but I question the point of it when you could just have her with 3 masks and each hit doing 1 damage like the first game. The money system in the game is also a little too overly restricted, not enough mobs that drop it and the ones that do don't drop a lot of it. With how you can permanently lose it all, it's a problem that has its only solution being grinding which isn't exactly "fun" to do. The game itself is fun, but the flaws bring it down from a 5 star to a 4 star. Only buy and play if you're good at platformers until, and unless, they issue a patch to nerf the early game.

Much harder than Hollow Knight. learning curve is steepers, some enemies are unforgiving. Music is also more ambient than before.

Very fun so far.
For all new comers, you'll get the map in < 1h of gameplay. Avoid red spikes as these are optionals and harder content. Follow the flow of the game and every bosses you'll encounter will be easy for the first 10 hours. If you have a boss fight with a long run back, you missed a bench, or attempting optional hard gauntlets. Linux support is perfect. Playing on ubuntu 24.04 with xbox 360 controller, it runs perfectly on ryzen 4700u iGPU. No controller issues that other mentioned. if you fear for your red bells currency, head back to the village and transform them into items so you always have some for a new bench :)
