Best metroidvania ever, GOTY 2017!
I love it.. music, story, atmosphere.. everything about it is perfect. Lore, mechanics, gameplay. So much fun. Hard but not impossible. You can beat the game even if you're not an expert gamer, but it's a lot harder to get some of the advanced level stuff. Try it, you won't regret it.

Team Cherry: Der letzte Gute Entwickler
Ich besitze Hollow Knight nun auf GOG und steam. Den Drang ein Spiel zweimal zu kaufen hatte ich zuvor nie verspürt. Aber Team Cherry und Ihre meisterhafte Arbeit konnte ich nicht ohne jegliche Unterstützung auf mir sitzen lassen. Sie gehören zu den wenigen und sehr sehr seltenen Spieleentwicklern, die noch Ihre Arbeit und in den Vordergrund stellen und nicht von Geiz und Gier getrieben sind. Ein Spiel welches gerade mal 15 Euro kostet (im sale sogar nur 10) und mit so viel Liebe und Content produziert worden ist, habe ich bis jetzt nicht erlebt. Deswegen hatte ich es nochmal erworben. Wir verdienen einen so grandiosen Entwickler wie Team Cherry nicht. Godmaster ist ein meisterhaftes KOSTENLOSES DLC wie all die Updates davor. Ich wünsche das Beste für Team Cherry. AMAZING!!!!
What a spectacular game. I don't usually play metroidvania type games, but I havnt had this much fun since playing Metroid and Castlvania. The handling is most important in these types of games i think, and this one has nailed it. They perfected the controls and the feel, moving and jumping around is nice and tight. Combat is really fun too. Best of all is the atmosphere and art style, this game has such a unique look and its absolutley beautiful. The sound also enhances the experience perfectly. This game is a 10 out of 10

Delighful and Atmospheric Metroidvania
This might be one of the best games I've played for such a character underlying art, sound and story. From the cartoony style of the art to the whimsical nature of some of the characters, this game weaves such a character and intrigue through its world and story. The platforming is solid, the combat feels deliberate. The enemies are learnable, though quite unforgiving. Following a small sound through to its source has such a feeling of discovery. I swiftly fell in love with the world and characters, and though I have not yet seen the story through to an end yet, it has already found itself among my favourites.
