Heroes of Might and Magic® 4: Complete

Maybe it's a little irrational to play a strategy game for the writing, but hey. Every couple of years I find myself drawn back into the campaigns of order mages and genies, knights and knaves, and, most of all, the struggles of the pragmatic Half-Dead necromancer. HOMM IV pairs nice, homogenous visuals with decent strategic gameplay and an impressive magic/ability system for the heroes. Diverse leveling opportunities for player characters together with witty, often humorous story-telling, make for a charming diversion that has cost me far too much time over the years. Highly recommended for patient players looking for engaging stories with their turn-based confrontations, but probably too little for strategy purists.

I like this game but not as much as Heroes 3. This game installs and runs well on Linux. I am using Ubuntu 18.04.1 with wine staging installed ( I have not tested it with the default wine on Ubuntu). I used Playonlinux to install the game. it runs fine but I needed to lower the resolution and uncheck fullscreen after you do this you can raise the resolution back up but do not check full screen character will be off screem play in window mode.

Das Spiel ist und bleibt ein teil meiner Kindheit, und für lappige 2,49 € ist es ein Schnäppchen. Leider stürzt, das spiel im Kampf ab. Konnte keine Lösung finden und manchmal verursacht der Absturz, dass der PC einfriert. Schade dass alte spiele auf Windows 10 nur bedingt funktionieren..

This was my introduction to Heroes. Played this before HOMM III, and they are both great. This on the other hand has the best soundtrack from almost any game ever

The first time I played HOMM4 was about 20 years ago, and I am still listening to its music and play it time to time, it is so enjoyable when playing it and explore the magic world. I want to say we need a remaster version of this game to remake city bulding and creature design, hope in future there will be a 2.5D total new next gen HOMM . 英雄无敌4YYDS
