Best strategy turn based game ever, due to its perfecxt balancing

The game is legendary, nothing more to add to that part. However, the Windows version won't work on Windows 10. Upon launch you get "The code execution cannot proceed because WING32.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." message and that's pretty much it. Reinstalling doesn't help, troubleshooting solutions offered don't help. The DOS version works, has inferior audio to the one we all know and love. Of course, packing the game with DosBox doesn't really require any effort, does it? Another half-assed packaging. Thank you, GOG.

Not as rich as the 3rd part, but the simplicity makes it even more atractive. For me it is just the right balance of features, to be coming back over and over again.

This is the most charming of the HOMM games. The music and art styling is fun and beautiful, and the sense of exploration is top notch. Love this game!

Played the first "battle chest" version of this game, with a 2 disk set w/ HMM 1 and 2. Maybe the bug has been planted deep, but I have played this for 25 years and I'll probaly continue to play it until I'm 90. Super calm, chill vibes.
