Heroes of Might and Magic® 2: Gold

brought me so many memories back, even though i have player all homm games beside 2 its great to play campaigns.

This is one of my favorite games of all time, I never tire of it. Many people think HoMM 3 is the pinnacle of the series, but to me this one is the best. The art style and music are top notch, and there's just enough variety with the factions.

Classic game ! Still well-balanced and fun!

Bought this game again after not playing it for over a decade. I still love the artwork and the anamation. GoG has done a great job restoring the game so that it plays well. That being said, there are some rough edges to this entry. The castles are not well balanced against each other. Troops cost too much and magic is far too efficient at destroying them, especially in the early game. Even at lower difficulty settings, it always feels like the AI is playing without the fog of war on. If you can get past that, it's a solid entry. It's definately not the strongest one in the series. (Heroes III gold edition takes that place).
