Multiplayer Support Is Terrible
Requires having the GoG Galaxy client running to play multiplayer. No longer works on Windows 7 machines. This is abandonware.

Fantastic but lacks stable netplay
I love this game and its difficulty curve, and the items, however, until the netcode bugs that instantly disconnect my multiplayer games in the middle are fixed, I cannot rate this game any higher.

Good at it's core
The game is -Grindy -Unbalanced -Weirdly paced Grindy: In the game you can collect both gold and ore from dungeons, yet when you try to save your resources you pay a tax on the gold, which greatly impacts how much you can farm. This goldsink is very unnecessary and reminiscent of an MMO, it only serves to further increase the grind for little reason. You can spend ore to decrease taxes, but exchanging one grind for another doesn't excuse this. You need ore to upgrade the city, which then unlocks upgrades for your character that you can buy for gold. One of many poor design decisions in this game. Unbalanced: The class balancing is very weird. Some classes are borderline unplayable, others crush the game all the way through. Notably the paladin is terrible, while a class like the warlock is very powerful. The wizard has the least HP of any class, yet 3 out of 4 skills he can use make him immobile. Just really weird decisions all around. Weirdly paced: In Act 2, The Prison combat and all is as usual, however most of the loot is behind gates. To unlock the gates you need to find a random button that's hidden somewhere in the level. This is a poor game design decision as it greatly slows down the gameplay from the usual action and this design is very cruel when one considers the amount of grind they put into the game. This problem is made worse in Act 4, The Archives where you need to find the button to even progress. Needless to say I don't play this game to look around for buttons for half an hour. The endgame levels are also too big, the game is riddled with spelling/phrasing errors and it loses it's novelty faster than most other games I've played. It has many odd features that don't belong in a singleplayer game and the performance is terrible for a 2D game. The core combat is fun however(would've been better if the devs knew how to balance classes) and playing online co-op with friends is even better. I don't recommend you buy it.

Console with friends?
I really wish you would add this game to ps4 with local co op , playing the first one we are missing all the cool stuff you added to the second . we love playing games that take awhile to get everything and we can play togeather usuing a vast variety of skills/powers , Just wish it was on console so I could play with my brother and my friends because then id have a game for my weekend to share with the people who will be in my life forever
