Beschreibung
The year is 2104 and humanity is engaged in a fratricidal war between the inhabitants of Earth and colonized Mars. After weeks of fierce battles and heavy losses, an opportunistic alien force emerges from the depths of space and threatens to take over the solar system - just when humanity is in its weakest and most divided state.
You will have to explore and conquer the galaxy as the head of your fleet, planning colonization, terraforming planets, managing your resources and deciding on the appropriate technological research to lead mankind where you want it to go. Research, combined with a top-notch spy network, will enable you to survive in a stellar system which is much more dangerous than it would first appear to be. Who says that space is empty? Black holes, asteroid fields, nebulas, cosmic clouds and wormholes as well as alien races make each fleet sortie a perilous affair.

poor gaming experience
Haegemonia rates lowly due to being poorly designed. It has no tutorial or controls section in the options menu yet asks you to do numerous tasks and to read certain things such as unit formation. The game doesn't pause while you look for these options and has no clear indicator of where or how to do most missions (This is a problem as it's a 3D world where enemies can not be readily distinguished against the background) inevitably you lose a lot and as the game goes quite slowly it takes a long time to get going again. Realistically you have to spend a long time reading a manual... yes that's right the least exciting part of all gaming experiences is enforced on you. If you buy this be prepared to be disappointed. I wish gog did refunds. I'd ask for one

Better than homeworld
I played this game closer to it's release, and I remember playing it a lot. It's got a decent story, and an interesting research / expansion loop. Don't compare it to homeworld, since homeworld is poop, and this game isn't.

terrible dont bother
right from the start the game is unplayable the instructions even for the tutorial are not even possible there is no way to even finish the tutorial..lol.. much less actually play the game the UI provides no feedback for understanding how to complete an action nor does it indicate when an action has been confirmed or accepted overall this game should be deleted from history and forgotten
