Grim Dawn Definitive Edition

To me, Grim Dawn still holds up today. Standing alongside some of the giants like PoE or Last Epoch. Personally, I like those a bit more, but this title still fits my niche of a classic offline single-player option compare to the those others. If I had one criticism, I'd love to have a few more tracks on cycle for the base game. The original music is great for setting tone but gets repetitive quickly. I highly recommend you try it out if you like the genre. And as an aside, I can't wait for the Fangs of Asterkarn so I can finally play the build I've been wanting from the beginning—the werewolf.

just good overall for any playstyle you like in an arpg casual chill or veteran on the edge. the stat and item system is very streamlined and fun to grind for. the masteries each have a distinctly different feel to them and you can combine them also - and it is not rocket science to get an overview over your attributes and what you want to be able to do. if you are capable and interested in reading generally, the game offers wonderful story and lore for you. if you are a curious nature and like to explore you are in for a double treat in these regards. generally it is just nice to have an action rpg on the side and grim dawn is the best choice, or put all other games aside for grim dawn - its worth it.

If you want the best of this style of game, play this. As the title says, this is the best ARPG (aka "diablo-style") on the market. Mostly the same dev team that previously made Titan Quest--which while definitely showing its age in certain "quality of life" elements, is also a fantastic ARPG that is completely playable to this day. TQ was my fave ARPG up until GD was released--and this game is basically improved in about every way possible over TQ, which I still consider better than Diablo (and TQ is probably roughly on par with Torchlight 2--better on some things, worse on others). If you reach the point that you think you've gotten what you can from this, go grab a version of TQ that includes the Immortal Throne expansion (and probably a few others these days), and give it a play. You'll see the roots of this game in it (and will miss the QoL improvements that GD gives, lol). If you still crave more ARPG gaming at that point, I'd probably suggest TL2 at that point. Others might recommend Path of Exile, but I found PoE grindy, confusing, and completely lacking in fun while getting started. YMMV, but I didn't have any of those issues with GD, TQ, or TL2 (or TL1 for that matter).

almost 1000 hours in and no end in site , once you add some mods you will be playing this till the end of time. was gonna get xbox version for a friend but its 80$ so get him the pc version for 35
